A thread of heritage,
made for your child.
Made to order in your child's size, in the cloth and thread you choose, then embroidered by hand in our Doha atelier. Their name can be stitched inside the hem, if you'd like.
Four hands, one piece
The drawing
Each motif is drawn before it is stitched — patterns taken from old jalabiyas and redrawn at a child's scale.
The cloth
Cotton, linen and raw silk, chosen for weight and how they sit on a child through a long evening.
The thread
Cotton floss and metallic thread, worked on a hand frame. Between forty and ninety hours a garment.
The finishing
Seams bound by hand, the maker's initials stitched inside the hem, then folded in tissue.
Nothing is cut before it is yours.
The cloths
Eight fabrics for one jalabiya — pick a cloth, see it on four model views.
In wear
Come and see the cloth
Our atelier is in Doha. Feel the weights, hold the thread against the cloth in daylight, and have the size taken properly before we begin.

Heritage begins with a story
Alroudh is not simply a clothing brand, but a space where art meets heritage.
At Alroudh, we believe that heritage begins with a story, and that art is the language that preserves that story for generations.
We draw inspiration from the heritage of embroidered jalabiyas and traditional garments, with all the values, beauty, and craftsmanship they embody, and reinterpret them through a contemporary vision that begins with the child. Because a child who grows up wearing a piece that carries identity and culture grows up carrying a sense of belonging to what has been passed down to them.
For us, art is not an embellishment added to the product; it is the foundation of the idea. From drawing and embroidery to color and thread, each piece comes to life, becoming an experience that brings together creativity, identity, and craftsmanship.
Alroudh is not simply a clothing brand, but a space where art meets heritage, creating pieces to be worn today and cherished for their lasting value tomorrow.

Nothing is cut before it is yours
A jalabiya made to order takes six to eight weeks. That time is the whole argument: the cloth is cut to your child's measurements, the motif is scaled to the size, and the embroidery is worked on one frame by one pair of hands.
Nothing is held in stock, so nothing is discarded. We cut what is ordered, in the cloth that was chosen, in the thread that was chosen.
Size
Age, height and sleeve, taken at home.
Fabric
Chosen after the size, since weight follows scale.
Thread
Three palettes, or a colour matched to a photograph.
Name
Optional, stitched inside the hem in Arabic or Latin.
